Is Your NBN Fixed Wireless Ready for Ultra Speeds?

Check if your NTD supports WTCO NBN Fixed Wireless Plus (100/20), Super (250/20) or Ultra (400/40).

The outdoor unit on your premises is called an NTD (Network Termination Device). Newer speed tiers on NBN Fixed Wireless may require a newer NTD model. Use this guide to see what your current hardware can support and when an upgrade is needed.

Heads up: Automatic upgrades to the latest Fixed Wireless NTD (Version 4) are not yet available via WTCO. This process is coming soon. We can still check your setup now and line up next steps.

Which NTDs support which speeds?

How to tell which NTD you have

  • V2: Distinctive diamond-shaped housing.
  • V3: Rectangular panel, sharper corners and edges.
  • V4: Rectangular with softer, rounded corners; newest installs.

Will a technician need to visit?

For customers upgrading from older hardware (especially V2) or moving to Ultra 400/40, an NBN technician visit is often required to swap the NTD and confirm signal alignment. Final eligibility depends on location, signal quality and tower capacity.
